The conference explores how museums can connect different communities and areas of knowledge, foster dialogue, inclusion and social engagement, and provide space for reflection on the future. The programme includes presentations, professional discussions, workshops and visits to museums and cultural institutions.
Ondřej Dostál and Arnošt Nezmeškal will present a paper entitled Public Engagement and Social Dialogue at the National Technical Museum in Prague.
CIMUSET is an international committee of ICOM (International Council of Museums) bringing together professionals working in the field of science and technology museums. Its history is closely connected with the National Technical Museum, as a key meeting of the committee was held at NTM in 1972. The 50th anniversary of this event was commemorated in 2022 by a CIMUSET meeting at NTM, held in connection with the ICOM General Conference in Prague.
