Why visit the National Technical Museum?

The NTM is the country’s largest Czech technical museum founded in 1908. Within the NTM’s 26 permanent exhibitions you will find valuable treasures from the country’s technical and industrial history and present, which have been selected out of the over 177,000 registered items in its collections. In the Main Building located in the Prague’s Letná neighbourhood, there are exhibits on a number of fields that can be seen on its 7 floors. You can get acquainted with the automobiles from the museum's collection, which is of world importance, with original astronomical instruments from the time of Rudolph II. or walk through the ore and coal mine exhibition. In the summer season, the museum opens its branches in Plasy and Chomutov and opens the recently restored Letná Carousel.
