January 29th, 2013 – 90 years of Czech technical standardization
The bureau for technical standards, metrology and testing (ÚNMZ), in cooperation with the National Technical Museum, has prepared an exhibition documenting its ninety-year tradition in Czech lands. Visitors will experience the history of setting technical standards, here as well as in foreign countries, starting with standard building stones in Egypt, see the breakthrough creation of standards in the Škoda Plzeň factory, right up through modern standards for nanotechnology and biomimetics. They will learn about the activities of standards commissions, the center for technical standards and the current structure and tasks of the actual ÚNMZ. The exhibition is housed in the National Technical Museum and opens January 29th, 2013.
