The collection of hippomobiles of the National Technical Museum contains nearly three dozen horse-drawn vehicles. These are mainly personal carriages, made by domestic manufacturers, but a small collection of horse-drawn fire engines is also interesting. Due to the limited spatial possibilities of the museum, most of the National Technical Museum’s hippomobiles are stored in depositories and exhibited to the public only occasionally. The most important exhibition pieces from the NTM collection are on long-term loan and displayed in the carriage museum at the castle in Ctěnice near Prague.
