Acoustics

This collection captures the development of the technical design of telephones, loudspeakers, gramophones and other products using examples of objects from serial production. Above all, however, it documents the extraordinary collaboration of one of our most important designers and educators, František Crhák, who worked with the TESLA company in Valašské Meziříčí from the mid-1960s to the mid-1980s. In this regard, the collection of more than fifty items with a substantial representation of plaster and plastic models and prototypes is one of the most important in the entire collection of industrial design. Significant are also the rarely preserved models and prototypes of gramophones designed by Jan Tatoušek and radio receivers and tape recorders by Pavel Kmoch, which were also designed for the TESLA company.
