The organizational structure of the NTM is divided into four basic divisions.
The first of these ones is the Division of the General Director. The General Director of the National Technical Museum is appointed to the post by the Minister of Culture. The Division of the General Director consists of the departments directly managed by the General Director. These departments secure basic activities exclusively in the competence of the General Director. These include: the General Director’s Office, the Personnel Section, the Internal Audit Section, the Legal Section, the Public Relations Section and the Advisor to the General Director.
The General Director’s statutory representative is the Deputy General Director who manages the Presentations, Operations and Exhibitions Division.
The Collections Creation Division is managed by the Chief Curator, who manages the conceptual collections creation activities of the fields represented in the NTM, presents the results of collections creation activities in all their aspects, and carries out his/her own scientific activities. He/she arranges for acquisitions, records, administration and protection of collections. The division is sub-divided into the Architecture and Construction Museum, the Railway Museum, the Science and Research Department, the Collections Administration and Logistics Department and the Collections Creation Department.
The Collections Creation Department is internally divided into the following collection sections:
The collection sections cover the main branches of technology and keep the relevant stock in a total number of 84 collection sets.
The fourth division is the Division of Museum Financial Management.
