Typewriter (Original) MatoušThe typewriter (Original) Matouš was made according to the only Czech patent of a typewriter No. 79511 from June 22, 1938. It was registered by its designer and later producer Karel Matouš from České Budějovice. Here, this machine was produced in the years 1948–1952 in the factory Motorunion. The portable typewriter of a light and simple design was intended for a large-scale production and general public use. Its appearance and construction were based on established and proven principles. Motion was transferred from keys to type levers by means of a rolling mechanism between the key and intermediate levers. A prototype and two serial products are deposited in the National Technical Museum. |
